The governor is planning to submit ERI legislation for State employees only. There is no talk on adding municipal workers to the bill nor is there any indication on how an ERI will be received by the legislature. So don’t get too excited.
Generally ERIs cost more than they save unless you permanently reduce the number of employees and/or salaries of the positions you do rehire.
