Making Payments to FRRS

For two reasons we are moving to electronic transactions – so no cash and no checks please. Working remotely we have converted just about all of our communications away from regular snail mail, so-much-so that we maybe get 1 or 2 pieces of non-junk mail each week. In addition, some of our mail may be lost on the way. Thus we ask that you communicate with us electronically – including sending us payments.

Thank you for your help. Dale

Option 1: ACH or wire – Likely you already know how to do this. Other treasurers say it is quick and easy if you are already doing other ACH’s on a regular basis. They just reuse the list from the last time. Call us for the info you need specific to FRRS. 413.774.4837 ext 0

Option 2: Payroll vendor – The people that use Harpers can arrange with Harpers to pay the retirement deductions direct to FRRS. I believe it costs $1.25 each time. That’s probably cheaper than time, materials, and postage to mail the check.

Option 3: Unipay – We bank with Unibank, and they offer an online payment service (we pay all the fees – not you). It’s better if you register as a user (but you don’t have to) because you can store your bank info and have it at the ready each time. It’s simple – just have the check (you would have sent to us) in front of you, enter the info, hit submit, then void and file the check.  To get started, see the link on our Treasurers webpage. https://frrsma.com/treasurers/

Option 4: PTG – In March 2020 Brian announced that PTG was adding the ability to generate ACH transactions for the accounting side of the program. This includes invoices, refunds, and transfers. Our fellow systems can use this when sending us transfers and 3(8)c payments.
